I haven't been on dA for a while, but I'm starting to get active again.
especially in the traditional arts. I have completely fallen in love with the brushstrokes of oil paint, with the expressive colors of pastels, with the crisp lines of color pencils and with the proud feeling after completing a piece.

So yeah,
I'm not going to any art summer program this summer like Interlochen or Idyllwild because it's expensive but maybe next year?

2009 is almost over. and 2010 is coming. A lot of things happened this year, enjoyable things, sad things, memorable things, and regretful things. I made choices in every way possible into what I am now, every little choice matters. But out of all, I have improved my artwork. I improved my observational drawing skills from my 2D Art Foundations class at school. I improved my photography skills (a little). I improved my fashion designing skills. I improved my singing. I improved in becoming a better person.


Yesterday I went to Pondok Indah Mall, and I saw a set of Rembradnt soft pastels. I think I might buy some today. The 15 assorted color set, but the half-sticks ones cause the regular ones are quite expensive. Or I could just buy individual pieces for Rp 22,000 each (or about $2.40). I don't know though. I want to save money to get lots of art books., such as The Art of Avatar, The Art of Ratatouille, a figure drawing book and a book to help me with my oil painting and pastel. Plus, I'll have to choose if I want the 15 color set, or 30 color, and landscape or portrait set. Choices, Choices.

I watched Avatar yesterday. No, not in 3D, just regular. It was such an awesome movie. It was amazing. I can't wait until the DVD comes out so I can see how they created the movie with the 3D cameras and all. James Cameron is an extraordinary director. He directed Titanic, apparently and Avatar. Avatar is going to be a classic, like Titanic and is going to be watched over and over again, like the Day After Tomorrow.


i wish i had a subscription

well, well. i know its a bit far to look for activities to do for summer, but that's just the way my family is.
I'm thinking of going to the US for summer.
but...

NO NO NO.
i need visas to go to United States but the Libyan Embassy doesn't give out visas so we have to go to Malta and such, so no.
oh well.


i have a stomachache now i dont know why but its bad! argh, hope it goes away soon cause tomorrow i have swimming at 6:15 - 7:15 at night. let's see what else. oh yeah, i tried using pastels in my sketchbook (just random doodling drawing stuff) and it turned out HORRIBLE! it was smudgy all over, and the small pastel trash bits were EVERYWHERE. it was such a mess. i need someone to teach me how to use pastels i'd love to learn soo much. + i love pastels' colors. they're so vibrant.
